Packing Instructions:
All repairs must be shipped in original factory packing only. PSS will not be responsible for any shipping damage. The best way to pack your speaker for shipment is in the original factory packing only. ** if no original receipt is submitted with this Request, the repair will be considered a non-warranty repair and you will be charged for repair costs..
If you are packing a speaker, follow the same instructions as above, but if you do not have the original factory packing, use a square bottom box that is the same width as the diameter of the speaker. Place the speaker face down in the box. Cut the sides down so that the box height is the same as the depth of the speaker. When the top is folded down it should touch the back of the magnet. If you cannot find an exact size box, you can cut an extra piece of cardboard the size of the bottom of the box. Center the speaker on this piece and tape or bolt the speaker to it. Fill the voids in the box with bubble wrap or crumpled paper. Never use styrofoam packing peanuts!
It is always best to ship one speaker per box to avoid damage. You may, however, ship two identical speakers in the same box if you have to. Place the two identical sized speakers face to face with a piece of cardboard between them. Poke holes in the cardboard corresponding to the speaker mounting holes. Tie the speakers together using heavy duty cable ties or bolts. Ship the speaker pair in a heavy duty box, filling the voids with bubble wrap or crumpled paper.
We recommend shipping by a carrier that will give you a tracking number such as UPS or FedEx. Be sure to include a completed Shipping Form and our SRA Form with your name, address and phone number inside the box. We normally return finished speakers by UPS.
